You Pick the Moron

I couldn't help but laugh this morning when I read that director James Cameron's offer of helping with the gulf oil spill had been "graciously" declined by BP. Cameron was quoted as saying, "Those morons don't know what they are doing." I thought I might present a few of the players for you and you decide for yourself who the moron might be. If you were faced with an oil drilling problem, who would you trust and who would be the moron?

James Cameron, award winning director with experience in FILMING underwater. I am not aware of any oil drilling experience although he does make great movies.

Barack Obama, when faced with an oil drilling crisis, he sets up a commission and has meetings. He invites college professors to solve the problem. He's never held a real job.
Attorney General Eric Holder. He wants to file criminal charges against BP executives right in the middle of the disaster which BP is trying to resolve and agreed to pay for.

Uncle Sam. We could be drilling for oil in the shallow water of the continental shelf or even better yet ON LAND,  where the whole process is simpler and a lot safer. Instead Uncle Sam has chosen to make the oil companies drill in water 5000 feet deep all to please a bunch of environmental whackos. Of course this all results in higher prices for everyone and much greater risk in retrieving the oil.
British Petroleum. Forced to drill in 5000 feet of water. They are in the oil bidness. This is what they do. They bring us oil so we can drive our cars, fly our planes, heat our homes, pave our roads, and have all the products we have as a direct result of the many uses of crude oil.

So, my friends, if you had to solve an oil drilling problem, who would you call to help. Who would you classify as a moron?
