Global Warming Leaves Texas in the Cold

It is so cold in Texas that they do not have enough power to keep the lights and heat on. Instead they are transferring energy from Mexico to meet the shortfall. An energy transfer of 280 megawatts began at midday (1800 GMT) via the north Mexican border cities of Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa and Piedras Negras.

Ciudad Juarez mayor Hector Murgia said the temperatures of around minus 13 degrees centigrade (8.6 Fahrenheit) were the lowest recorded in almost 50 years.

Seems as I remember there had been a bunch of wind farms built in Texas recently. What gives?

Love that global warming!
