The Restaurant Critic

I'm usually pretty easy to please at a restaurant as long as the food is good and the server makes a decent attempt to wait on us. The worst experience I remember was at a Perkins restaurant in Memphis. Wifey and I went there ONCE. I got fish. It was raw. I sent it back. They sent it back burned. Wifey got pancakes. They were also raw. Back in the back, we noticed the kitchen workers shucking and jiving and moonwalking.

A few years later some of my ham radio friends and I visited a Perkins restaurant somewhere in Kentucky. The food sucked and the service sucked. So that did it for me. No more Perkins EVER!

Back in 2010 Wifey and I were shocked when the waitress at Red Robin completely forgot about us. I've already blogged about this. She was too busy shucking and jiving with her friends. We have been back to Red Robin and no further problems have occurred.

These are the exceptions. Most of the time things are OK. I want to discuss those little things that I frequently find at restaurants that are annoying:

ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER

There are 3 basic types of sweetener: Sweet-N-Low, NutraSweet, and Splenda. For those of us that don't use sugar, THERE ARE DIFFERENCES. Why are some restaurants so cheap that they only put Sweet-N-Low on the table and won't give you any other choices? Wifey hates Sweet-N-Low.

SILVERWARE

Believe it or not I have been in places where you had to ASK for silverware. There used to be a place locally (they are no longer there) that NEVER put silverware on the table, NEVER, we always had to ask for it. At a Shoney's in Nashville once, my friends and I went to the breakfast bar, but they never would bring us utensils and no amount of hell raising and hand waving did any good. I finally went up front and reached behind the counter and got some silverware myself. I was immediately chastised by one of the help. I quickly threw it right back at her and let her know that if she and her friends had not been shucking and jiving, I would not have had to take matters into my own hands. I have visited other places that would not bring silverware as well. To me, this seems like one of the basics.

KETCHUP

What is it with Denny's and ketchup? Seems like everytime I go in a Denny's, all the ketchup bottles on the table are empty. Once I tried stealing a couple from other tables. They were empty too. It also seems like the server disappears when you have a big plate of fries and no ketchup.

SALAD DRESSING

I am one of those folks that likes a little salad with my dressing. Why do some places bring a miniscule portion of dressing? You need a microscope to find it. And then they look at you with disdain if you ask for more. Also, what is it about Thousand Island Dressing? A lot of places don't have it. Wifey and I took a trip up through Ohio and Michigan a while back and no restaurant had Thousand Island. It really can't be that difficult to find, can it?

NAPKINS

Why can't restaurants put a stack of napkins on the table? Why do they want you to use just the one included with your silverware (if you're lucky enough to get silverware)? If they bring you something really messy, it's guaranteed you'll have it on you from head to toe before it's over. I have been in a few places that will put a roll of paper towels on the table.....GREAT IDEA!

COFFEE CUPS

Who ever invented Munchkin sized coffee cups should have their ass kicked into the middle of next week. I believe coffee should be served in Paul Bunyan sized mugs. This means fewer visits from the server as well.

LIGHTING

I believe in a romantic atmosphere but when the lights are so dim, you can't read the menu, it can be a problem.

SCREAMING KIDS

Don't put me close to them. I have blogged about this as well. The screeching and screaming is not conducive to good digestion.

Well that's enough for now. I bet the rest of you can think of some of those little things that annoy you in restaurants as well.

Super Bowl 2012

Well it's the Giants and the Patriots in the Super Bowl. I was 2 for 2 in my picks of the championship games. I was a bit surprised the Ravens played it so close with the Patriots only to lose in the last seconds with a missed field goal. I figured Brady would get his team ahead by a couple of touchdowns and it would stay that way until the end.

I called it exactly right in the NFC game, a 3 point victory for the Giants possibly in overtime and that is EXACTLY what happened. How sweet it is.

I'm picking the Giants in the Super Bowl. The Patriots were only able to beat the Ravens anemic offense by 3 points. Manning and the Giants are much better on offense than the Ravens and their defense is good enough to keep Brady from running up the score. I'm going to say it will be the Giants by a touchdown.

Unintended Consequences

Wifey was having problems trying to turn off this light during a recent stay we had in a hotel room.

She fiddled and fiddled and finally lifted the shade off the bulb only to find this:

Ahh yes, a glorious compact fluorescent bulb. The only problem was this:

The original shade would not fit on the CFL. Instead the hotel folks just sat the bare metal frame onto the glass of the bulb. Now what if someone else starts jiggling the shade around and ruptures the glass on the bulb? HAZMAT time! Thank you federal gubment! Bring back our incandescent bulbs!

3 out of 4 in the Divisional Round

And now there are only 4 teams remaining. I did pretty well having successfully chosen winners in 3 of the 4 games. My losing pick was the New Orleans Saints who lost 36 to 32 to the San Francisco 49ers in the very last minute of the game. The Saints were handicapped by an uncharacteristic 5 turnovers in the game. Were it not for this I figure the Saints would have won handily by a couple of touchdowns, but we can't just blame the Saints, we must credit the defense of the 49ers. They pressured Drew Brees all day long causing him to hurry his throws and make mistakes. The Saints ball carriers looked like wishbones with the 49ers defenders pulling at their extremities and the ball flying away. The Saints took the lead with a couple of minutes remaining, but the 49ers would not be denied as QB Alex Smith mustered enough offense to score the deciding touchdown in the final minute.

Tim Tebow's Denver Broncos fell in a humiliating defeat to the high powered Patriots, 45-10. I predicted a New England win but I thought it would have been a much more spirited game. I did not see it. I had it recorded but decided not to watch when I heard the score. Congrats Tom Brady. Better luck next year, Tim Tebow.

Good defense was more than the Houston Texans could stand as the Baltimore Ravens battled them to a 20-13 victory. It was hard fought and it wasn't pretty but the Ravens prevailed in the end and advance to the AFC Championship Game at New England.

It seemed as if the Green Bay Packers were at one point unstoppable. Not so as Eli Manning and the New York Giants marched into Green Bay and went away with a convincing 37-20 win. I predicted this victory. The Giants defense has stepped up recently and certainly gave Aaron Rogers' offense all he wanted forcing 4 Packer turnovers. Eli Manning did not have much trouble against the Packers mediocre defense. The Giants win was no shock to me. The Giants are not the same team they were a month or two ago. They are peaking at just the right time.

So now for next weeks' predictions:

AFC Championship Game, Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots

Tom Brady and company won't enjoy a walk in the park as they did against the Broncos. The Ravens defense is tough, tough, tough. Nevertheless, the Patriot offense is extremely dangerous. Brady will hit enough big plays to give the Patriots a 10 point victory.

NFC Championship Game, New York Giants at San Francisco 49er

The 49ers have a much better defense than the Packers. Eli Manning will be under a lot of pressure. On the flip side the Giants defense will give the 49ers much more trouble than did the Saints. I have a feeling it will be a war and a low to moderate scoring game with no team scoring more than 20 points. Alex Smith looks impressive but he doesn't quite have the experience and savvy of Eli Manning. I am going to predict a 3 point Giant victory and it may well happen in overtime.

So there you have it. Anyone want to argue?

The Sheer Nightgown

A husband walks into Victoria's Secret to purchase a sheer negligee for his wife. He is shown several possibilities that range from $250 to $500 in price -- the more sheer, the higher the price.

He opts for the sheerest item, pays the $500, and takes it home.

He presents it to his wife and asks her to go upstairs, put it on, and model it for him.

Upstairs, the wife thinks (she's no dummy), "I have an idea ... it's so sheer that it might as well be nothing. I won't put it on, I'll do the modeling naked, return it tomorrow, and keep the $500 refund for myself."

She appears naked on the balcony and strikes a pose.

The husband says, "Good Grief! You'd think for $500, they'd at least iron it!"

He never heard the shot.

Funeral is on Thursday at Noon.

The coffin will be closed.

I'm 2 and 2, and Now the Divisional Round

Well I'm 2 and 2 in my predictions for wildcard weekend. This proves one thing and one thing only. When you GUESS between 2 choices, you have a 50 percent chance of being right. At least I think I'm as good as the ex-jocks on ESPN.

I picked the Bengals over the Texans. The Bengals lost miserably. I also picked the Steelers over the Broncos. The Broncos won 29 to 23 on the first play in overtime. Way to go Tim Tebow. Tebow hit some mighty impressive looking long passes down the field during the game.

I was correct picking the Saints over the Lions. It was pretty close until the 4th quarter and then Drew Brees and company lowered the boom. It took Eli Manning and the Giants a little while to get in gear but they had no trouble shaming the Atlanta Falcons as I predicted.

So now on to the divisional round. Here are my picks:

New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers. Well the Saints have the number 1 passing attack in the NFL. The 49ers are 16th against the pass. The 49ers are also 1st against the run but it won't matter. The Saints have looked really sharp and I give them the victory by a touchdown.

Denver Broncos at New England Patriots. This is kinda tough. The Patriots have the number 2 passing attack but their defense is problematic. They have been able to put up enough points to win without having to worry much about defense. The Broncos have the number 1 running attack. Their defense is also mediocre. The Broncos went to overtime today against a mediocre Steelers offense. Will they make it to overtime against a GOOD offense? I'm going to have to give it to New England by a touchdown, but if the Broncos can get their wide receivers covered one on one and Tebow can deliver some more astonishing passes, it might really be close.

Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens. OK, I'm convinced that the Texans are real after watching them dispatch the Bengals. Actually statistic wise the Ravens and Texans are fairly equal. It bothers me that the Texans lost 3 in a row at the end of the regular season. I'm going to give the win to the Ravens by 3 points. I think it will be a squeaker.

New York Giants at Green Bay Packers. Big time passing attacks and mediocre defense describes these two teams. The Giants defense has looked better to me lately though. On the downside for the Giants it seems Eli has a bit of trouble getting started and comes on strong later in the game. If Eli has a slow start and the Packers get a couple of touchdowns ahead quickly it's curtains for the Giants. I'm going to stick my neck way out and pick the Giants by a touchdown.......whew! OK, it's your turn!

Time for Personal Attacks and Character Assassination

Rick Santorum is a decent guy, a Christian, a conservative, a guy I would trust as president. He battled RINO Mitt Romney to a virtual TIE in the Iowa Caucus last night. I think there were 5 votes separating the two. Did you see how many of the news outlets GLEEFULLY declared Romney the WINNER? Yes, they want to pick our RINO candidate for us so badly they can just taste it.

I don't know if Santorum can endure but you can bet that the Alan Colmes types will be out in droves launching personal attacks and demonizing Santorum as best they can. Of course they will be aided by the Republican establishment and the pundits on Fox News. I hate to watch it, but you know it's coming.

Hang in there Rick. I'll vote for you if I get the chance.

The Dustbin of History is a Little Fuller Today

Michele Bachmann has retired from the presidential race. This was no surprise. She had poor poll numbers, no money left, and only captured 5 percent of the voters in the Iowa Caucus last night.

Too bad, but there have to be losers in any contest in spite of what the liberals might want you to believe. I think Bachmann is basically a good and decent woman with good conservative ideas. I think she would have made a good president, perhaps a great president. We may never know the answer to this. On the other hand, one day we might.

As Sarah Palin said, "....it is just not her time......", but who knows if her time will one day come?

Romney? Electable? Hoax?

I have heard it until I'm sick of it. We need to choose Mitt Romney because he's the "most electable". You hear it from the lame stream media. You hear it from the Republican establishment. You hear it from the talking heads on Fox News.

Flash back to 2008. We need to choose John McCain because he's the "most electable". He's the one that will appeal to those precious independent voters. You heard it from the lame stream media. You heard it from the Republican establishment. You heard it from the talking heads on Fox News. We even heard it from Colin Powell who later voted for Obama.

And we ended up with John McCain, a wishy-washy, global warming believing (a hoax), cap and trade supporting (a hoax), who publicly brow beat his supporters for criticizing Hussein Obama. McCain was the candidate who wouldn't fight against the man who wanted to "fundamentally change the United States" into a mediocre European socialist state. No, they might call us RACIST! I guess y'all remember how that worked out.

I have already heard this year the same warnings from the Republican establishment types. We had better play nice and not criticize Obama or those precious independents will go running away in droves.

It's a HOAX folks! A big, fat, smelly, fuming, green fly attracting HOAX! We're sitting back fat, dumb, and happy and letting them pick our losing RINO candidate once again! In the general election it will begin with Romneycare and Mitt and the United States will go down in a flaming wreck! Mark my words!

Oh by the way, John McCain just endorsed Mitt Romney.

The TRAGEDY That is Ron Paul

We are drowning in debt. The federal gubment is expanding in huge chunks, TRILLIONS of dollars at a time. There is only ONE candidate who by his campaign rhetoric seems serious about really cutting spending. By cutting I mean really cutting, not simply reducing the rate of growth. The champion cutter is none other than Ron Paul.

With the exception of Defense I agree with all of this and there is no doubt that a lot of waste in defense could be eliminated as well. We hear none of this from any of the other candidates. Instead they choose to dance around the issue and chip away here and there at the overblown debt. The TRAGEDY is that Ron Paul refuses to identify the enemies of the United States (Islam), blames the United States for the 9-11 attacks, thinks it's OK for Iran to have a nuclear bomb, and would refuse to defend the nation against attacks foreign and domestic. His foreign policy is just CRAZY, otherwise he'd have my vote without question. How great would it be if Rick Santorum or Rick Perry adopted Paul's cutting strategy? If a Republican defeats Obama in 2012 (I certainly am not sure of this) I don't see any meaningful reduction of the debt in our future. Greece and Europe, here we come!

Kathy Griffin Strips on CNN! Who Cares?

Here's the first great "who gives a sh*t" story of 2012. Alleged comedienne, Kathy Griffin, stripped to her underwear on CNN, despite the objections of host, Anderson Cooper. Evidently, this was during the New Year celebrations on the seldom watched news network.

I've blogged about Griffin before. She's loud, obnoxious, ugly, and NOT FUNNY. I guess the only way she can get attention is by being loud and outrageous! Or maybe she was just drunk or stoned.

Fortunately, she was on CNN and maybe only a dozen or so people saw her.

This woman is definitely a waste of skin......ugh!

Alan Colmes is a Godless Heathen

Yes he is. Colmes is a liberal lunatic who believe it or not has his own radio show and is a semi-regular on Fox News.

Today he was on TV criticizing Rick Santorum, not over conservative issues, not because he's at the top of the polls in Iowa, no, none of the above.

Back in 1996, Santorum's newborn child died in the hospital. He brought the deceased baby home for a PRIVATE moment with his family. Santorum said, "It was so important ... for the family to recognize the life of that child and for the children to know they had a brother."

Colmes said, "Once they get a hold of the crazy things he's said and done like taking his two-hour old baby who died right after childbirth home and played with it for a couple of hours so his other children would know that the child was real......"

Of course to a godless liberal who believes in the wanton murder of the unborn I guess this comment is no surprise. I would not have made Santorum's choice either, but really, Alan, it's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, and has nothing to do with anything! Why even bring it up? Just to torture and ridicule a Godly and decent man I guess!

Colmes has since apologized to Santorum and Santorum has accepted.

Thanks Alan, you've given me one more reason to vote for Rick Santorum.

A Caucus? A Primary? A Mess?

Sweet Wifey (she is so very sweet) has been lamenting the Iowa Caucus and the primary system in general. Indeed it seems that by the time the vote rolls around to us Tennessee folks, our candidate has already fallen by the wayside or has already been chosen for us by the political establishment and/or the news media. She has advocated a single big nationwide primary where everyone votes for their primary candidate at the same time. But what if this were the case? What of there were say 10 different primary contenders? The victor might come away with perhaps 15 percent of the vote. 85 percent of the people would be mad.

How would the candidates campaign for such a giant primary? Under the present system the candidate has to actually go to that particular state. They have to spend time and money there. They have to put boots on the ground. They have to meet and talk to many many people. In the process they get an awful lot of press coverage. With Iowa or New Hampshire, even us "outsiders" who choose to pay attention, are able to learn a lot about each individual person. With a giant nationwide primary I'm afraid the candidates would not go to all this trouble and we might all come away in a cloud of ignorance.

We must realize that nobody's primary vote decides much of anything. Instead the winner of the primary is ultimately decided by the party convention and the votes cast by the delegates. Can you imagine the bartering, bickering, bribery, and cajoling that must occur at those affairs? We might all be shocked and appalled……on the other hand, maybe not.

I thought it might be pretty cool to conduct the primaries on a "rotational basis". The states that go first in 2012 would go last in 2016 and so forth. Ho hum, can you imagine the screaming and fighting that would occur if one of the political parties tried to implement this? It would be a downright sideshow.

There is no doubt that we are all hamstrung by our two party system. Never in American history have more than two parties been dominant. When one party (the Federalists) has disintegrated, another (the Whigs) springs up to take its place, and the two parties continue on as before. We all have seen that third parties and independents never seem to go very far. So we all end up having to play by the party rules whether we like them or not.

In the end, let us all remember that the vote of the PEOPLE does not elect the president. Rather it is the vote of the STATES in the form of the electoral college that makes the decision. This of course comes under fire all the time from all directions. The Democrats still have not gotten over the election of 2000 when Bush lost the popular vote but gained enough electoral votes to prevail. If the situation had been reversed, I am sure Republicans would still be bitching. However, the 2000 result was completely constitutional and the founders intended it to be this way. The electoral college gives just a bit more clout to the voters of the small states over those of the big ones.

Have you noticed that each state no matter how big or small has exactly two votes in the senate? In the senate each STATE has equal power. Again this was the intent of the founders. They believed strongly in the rights and sovereignty of each state. I'm sure many of them are rolling over in their graves when they see how our all powerful and all intrusive central government had perverted the constitution they risked their very lives to create. Indeed states rights have been trampled time and again.

I guess our primary system is certainly not perfect and leaves a lot to be desired but when I look at places like Syria or North Korea where one murderous thug dies off only to be replaced by another, I can't really complain too much.

Wildcard Sunday - GROUCH's Predictions

Well, the Titans were eliminated yesterday as Cincinnati managed to secure the 6th seed position in the AFC playoffs. Since I have no dog in the fight once again, I'll adopt a team as I did last year. This year it will be the Denver Broncos. I'm simply a Tim Tebow fan, but they looked miserable yesterday in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and they host the Steelers in the wild card round of the playoffs......ugh. Anyway, perhaps God will reward Tebow with a miracle. He'll need one. Here are my picks for next weekend:

AFC wild card round

Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans

I still haven't figured out how Houston won the division with 3rd string QB's and all. I think their luck runs out. I'm giving it to the Bengals by a touchdown.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos

The AFC north is probably the strongest division in football. The AFC west is probably the weakest. The Steelers have lots of playoff experience. The Steelers will rout the Broncos in Denver. Sorry Tim.

NFC wild card round

Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants

The Giants have looked shaky but so have the Falcons. Eli Manning is a magician. The Giants defense is going to have an awesome game and Manning is going to be on fire. I'm predicting a 2 touchdown win for the Giants. If the Giants look as good as they did last night against the Cowboys, they may be the surprise NFC team in the Super Bowl.

Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints

I think the Lions will be tough but unless Drew Brees has a complete meltdown I'm predicting a Saints victory by 10.

So boys and girls, you have my predictions. If you think I'm all wet, lets hear about it.

FINALLY! Somebody Said It!

"I will bomb Iran's nuclear facilities." Rick Santorum.

Finally! Somebody said it! It is about time and well overdue.

This has been kicked around since way back in the Bush administration. The powers that be keep saying we will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. All the while, in spite of toothless sanctions, they keep moving slowly but surely toward their nuclear bomb.

This just gives me one more reason to vote for Santorum. He has the conservative credentials. Liberals hate him. GOOD! He's surging in the polls one day before the Iowa caucus. Will he maintain his momentum? Who knows, but I sure won't be pulling the switch for Romney, Gingrich, or Paul, now or ever.

Now, Rick, back to that bombing thing:

1. If it comes to that, bomb the hell out of them.

2. No rules of engagement.

3. Don't worry about collateral damage. They are Muslims. They all hate us and would kill us if they could.

4. It's all about oil, Rick. Let's drill for our own. Tell the Arabs and the Persians to eat sand.

There's No Place Like Home

Last night sweet Wifey and I rang in the new year as the MORBID STRANGERS performed until after midnight. It was not the best of times for me as I've had one of the worst colds and episodes of post viral bronchitis I can remember. I had to dope up on cough meds during the gig just so I could breathe. Singing was a chore. It was hot on stage and the smoke in the room did not help.

I slept restlessly on the couch last night so as not to disturb my sweet ones.

When I finally woke up, my symptoms had calmed down and I was breathing easy and felt restful. Sweet Wifey fixed me a nice breakfast and I kicked back on the couch for a little football and some sweet puppy love. All is quiet and all is relaxed and even the Titans won by a single point.

I guess this might sound pretty dull but nothing beats relaxing in my QUIET little home on the hill with my sweeties. I can't think of a better way to start the new year.

No Job? There May Be a Reason

I never have been a big fan of Bill O'Reilly. I think his primary mission in life is to listen to himself BLOVIATE! And yes, he's made tons of money at it. More power to him. And if he's just "looking out for the folks" I can't say I feel much better.

However, on the topic of jobs, or the lack of them, O'Reilly and I are on the same page. In a recent article, his summary of the job climate is RIGHT ON:

The most important thing for a worker to understand is that you have to make yourself indispensable. You have to make your employer money or his life easier. Preferably both. Also, you have to learn as much as you can about your chosen endeavor. Again, if you can fix things, you will earn good money. If you can sell things, you will prosper. If you're primarily interested in tattoos, you will suffer economically unless you're a member of Green Day.

In prosperous years, the marginal workers get by. In tough times, they get the shaft. Let's all hope 2012 finally brings relief on the economic front. But don't count on it. Make your own way and a happy new year will be far more likely to occur.

RINO REMINDER - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Senator Lamar Alexander is the traitorous senator from Tennessee who voted to confirm the racist judge, Sonya Sotomayor. Never again will I vote for Lamar Alexander. He is not up for re-election until 2014, but I intend to post this reminder each and every month until then. I hope he either resigns or they run a true conservative against him in the primary. I challenge my fellow bloggers to do the same if you have RINO's in your state that need to go. I may add my other senator, Bob Corker, to this reminder. I'm waiting for him to cross the aisle again and work with Dimocrats.

It is with sadness that I have added my congresswoman, Marsha Blackburn to the RINO Reminder list. She voted for the BOEHNER bill and has voted to raise the debt ceiling, thereby COMPROMISING and selling us out to the Dimocrats and the establishment Republicans. I have let congresswoman Blackburn know that I am looking forward to voting for a primary challenger against her in 2012. I hope there is one.

Ridiculous Lawsuits? Blame the Lawyers!

Didja know that someone can sue you for most anything? They might not like the way you look, the way you talk, or the way you walk. It doesn't matter, you can be sued. Now that doesn't mean you could be successfully sued, but still you would have to defend yourself. You'd have to hire a lawyer. If your time is valuable you might have to waste some of it talking to the lawyer, giving a deposition, or even going to court. Even if you win, it's gonna cost YOU!

I read an article that got my dander up just a bit, "Most Ridiculous Lawsuit of 2011 Announced".

Now there is an EASY fix for all this nonsense. There should be a nationwide conversion to a LOSER PAYS legal system. If you bring a nonsensical suit against your neighbor and you lose, YOU PAY! You pay for your neighbor's attorney, their legal fees, court costs, time lost, whatever!

Why does this not happen? Lawyers of course! This would mean fewer lawsuits, probably fewer lawyers and less pay for lawyers. Since most of the politicians are lawyers, well, hell......you get the idea.

If I were king, things would be a lot different.

Payroll Tax Cut Charade - by Crystal Wright

I don’t care what the Wall Street Journal said or other so called political geniuses from the GOP establishment, House Republicans blew it this week when they caved into Senate Democrats two month payroll tax holiday scam. Speaker Boehner should have called Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s bluff and forced the Senate to come back to Washington and work with the House to pass the payroll tax cut for a year. (SNIP)

Collectively, House Republicans should have hit the airwaves reminding Americans, Obama’s so called tax holiday robbed the Social Security Trust Fund of about $120 billion last year and stimulated nothing. (SNIP)

This so called tax cut for the middle-class is nothing more than Democrats and Obama playing Robin Hood--- robbing from the Social Security Trust Fund. Republicans need to remind Americans Obama and the Democrats payroll tax cut is one big fiasco along with Obama’s failed policies.

If this payroll tax holiday is continued for another eight years, the Social Security Trust Fund could be completely wiped out of funds. It’s interesting to note Democrats consistently oppose any ideas of privatizing Social Security, including Rep. Paul Ryan’s plan but are all too willing to threaten it’s solvency by robbing it of funds.

Mitt Romney Redefines Conservatism While Newt Apologizes

The more I hear from Mitt Romney, the more I can't stand him. Now he is trying to tell us Romneycare in Massachusetts including the individual mandate is based on conservative principles. Where, where in the Constitution is the gubment empowered to make me purchase anything? I can't find it.

And Newt is running around apologizing and trying to distance himself from Mitt. I guess Newt was for the individual mandate before he was against it! This whole thing is disgusting. Looks like Rick Santorum might be starting to make a move. There is still hope for true conservatism.

Cheetah is Dead

Cheetah, the famous chimp of the 1930's Tarzan movies has died at age 80, at the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in Palm Harbor, FL.

Gee whiz, I guess I didn't realize chimps lived so long.

The sanctuary volunteer, Ron Priest, said Cheetah was well behaved but when upset about something would throw feces. Cheetah had been observed throwing feces at pictures of Barack Hussein Obama. However, it was later discovered that Cheetah was simply angry with the president because he chose Michelle for a mate rather than the feisty chimp.

Back in August, the Kenyan American president, Barry Soetoro begged congress to raise the debt ceiling so we could pay our bills on time. Of course there were supposed to be cuts to go along with it......oh wait, I think those "cuts" were supposed to happen over the next 10 years.

Now little Barry is asking for another 1.2 trillion increase in the debt ceiling bringing the national debt to nearly 16.4 trillion. So lessee, we increase the debt 2.1 trillion in just a few months and the "cuts" happen over 10 years? Hmmmmmm.......cuts? I don't see no steenkin' cuts!

We are so screwed!

Newt's Pants are on Fire!

It was just a few short months ago, when Newt was sitting back in the pack, not criticizing anybody. I distinctly remember him saying that any of the candidates on the stage, including Ron Paul, would make a vastly better president than Hussein Obama.

Now Newt has taken the lead and lost the lead at least in Iowa to Ron Paul. Suddenly Newt has decided that Paul would be "worse than Obama". Oh my how things change in such a short time and how the rhetoric follows suit! But one thing never changes. Newt is a RINO and a liar! If he is elected president, who knows what we will get? At least with Obama, we know EXACTLY what we will get. He told us before the first election.

Frankly if the next president is Paul, Gingrich, or Romney, we'll still be in deep doo doo.

Christmas has finally come. Sweet Wifey (oh so sweet) did very well this year. Santa treated her to a new Seiko diamond watch which she needed badly.

But it gets better. She also has a brand new MacBook Pro. Her old Dell has served her well, but after all, it is a Windows (ugh) machine.

The GROUCH did not do badly either. I got some new stuff for my motorcycle including a fine set of chaps, several different shirts, but the big surprise was my new STEEL GUITAR.

This should be interesting since I know nothing about steel guitars. I will plan on being an expert by this time next year.

Even sweet Penny had a good Christmas.

We are all very grateful and thankful for the nice things we have at Christmas time, but mostly we are thankful for Jesus and thankful for each other. Happy New Year one and all!

The Secret of Christmas

When I was just a wee lad I had an old vinyl LP with several Christmas songs. One of them was "The Secret of Christmas" performed by the late, great Bing Crosby. I have since heard many other artists perform this song but none ever did it as much justice as Crosby.

One of my favorite lines of all times is:

So may I suggest, the secret of Christmas, is not the things you do at Christmas time, but the Christmas things you do all year through.

Whatever Happened to Free Speech?

Two New York high school students were recently suspended for organizing several "kneel-downs" in honor of controversial Denver Broncos QB, Tim Tebow.

The kids stated that their actions were not of a religious nature but rather just a way of honoring the accomplishments of the famous quarterback.

Tim Tebow said of the incident, "You have to respect the position of authority and people that God's put as authority over you, so that's part of it, and just finding the right place and the right time to do things is part of it, too." Hmmmmm, what a classy answer. Too bad the people with authority are godless heathens a lot of the time.

I have to say that regardless of the motivation of the students, what about their right of free speech and expression, especially when students in some places run around wearing their britches down below their butts and spend time spraying graffiti on the schoolhouse walls?

And once again, what would have happened if they had started praying to Allah? Wanna bet nothing would have been said? Hmmmmmm?

Congress and the President - Just Killing Time

Watching the congress bicker over the payroll tax extension has been nauseating to say the least. Both the Dimocrats and the Republicans want to extend the payroll tax cut. The argument is about how long the extension should be. The Dims want to extend it until the end of February which for all practical purposes will be impossible to implement while the GOP wants to extend it for a whole year.

Obama continues his lies to the public stating that the "tax cut" will create jobs. Of course it won't amount to a hill of beans as far as job creation is concerned. Just another lie. He's just killing time.

What nobody seems to talk about is the long term implication of the payroll tax cut. The payroll tax is the SOLE FUNDING SOURCE OF SOCIAL SECURITY. Social Security is already in trouble and paying out more than it takes in. The Looney Facebook Liberals are always wringing their hands and screeching about how the evil Republicans are trying to steal THEIR (notice the entitlement mentality) Social Security. At the same time they CHEER the efforts of Hussein Obama and the Senate Dimocrats to extend the payroll tax cut saying it is a good thing for all those hard working middle class Americans.

Sigh, it's just a political ploy. Both parties have latched onto this notion of a tax cut simply to make political hay. If they are really interested in tax cuts, what say the make the Bush tax cuts permanent? Oh the HORROR! Or what say they permanently abolish the capital gains tax or the death tax? Oh the HORROR! No, they're not really interested in tax cuts. They are just killing time and kicking the can down the road.

Killing time........killing time.........killing time........and the generally uninformed public will just lap it all up like a pig eating slop when it's all just a big lie.

Christmas Carolers Kicked out of Post Office

No … don’t remember which Post Office. Saw the story on the tube this morning. A Post Office manager told Christmas carolers to get out … leave … and don’t come back unless they’re buying stamps or mailing something.

I’m just bringing this up to remind you that there is a war on Christmas in this country – and to suggest to you that this war exists because in this era of big government you need to remember that it’s government, not Santa Claus, that brings you what you ask for; and that it’s government, not God, that you should be worshipping.

Patrick addressed the class: "Well Ms. Jones, me and my twelve brothers and sisters go to midnight mass and we sing hymns; then we come home very late and we put mince pies by the back door and hang up our stockings. Then all excited, we go to bed and wait for Father Christmas to come with all our toys.

"Very nice Patrick," she said. "Now Angelo Ianucci , what do you do at Christmas?"

Well, Ms. Jones, me and my sister also go to church with Mom and Dad and we sing Ave Maria , dance the Tarantella and when we get home we put almond cookies and Amaretto by the chimney and we hang up our stockings. We hardly sleep, waiting for Santa Claus to bring our presents.

Realizing there was a Jewish boy in the class and not wanting to leave him out of the discussion, she asked, "Now, Isaac Cohen, what do you do at Christmas?"

Isaac said, "Well, it's the same thing every year...Dad comes home from the office. We all pile into the Rolls Royce; then we drive to Dad's toy factory. When we get inside, we look at all the empty shelves...And begin to sing: “What A Friend We Have in Jesus”..........Then we all go to the Bahamas ..."

The Grouch Assesses Republican Presidential Candidates - December Edition

Well, according to the polls, the candidates who I like the least, Romney, Gingrich, and Paul, are in the lead, while the candidates I like the most, Bachmann, Perry, and Santorum, are bringing up the rear. My choice, Herman Cain, is gone, destroyed by lies and innuendos.......hmmmm I'm still waiting to hear some FACTS that he did anything wrong. I'll probably be waiting a long time.........ah yes the destruction of a black conservative......alas I digress. Go HERE to read my November assessment if you've not been paying attention.

I'm not sure what to make of any of these polls. Gingrich now seems to be slipping a bit. I would bet it's because people are finally starting to pay attention and see him for the RINO he really is. Romney is also slipping. I almost had to laugh out loud when Romney tried to accuse Gingrich of being a moderate.

I hear a little story every now and then that seems to suggest Bachmann and Perry are starting to move up a bit. My hope is that either one of them will take off and take center seat. I'd be OK with Santorum too but it just seems that guy can't get traction no matter what.

So who knows where this will end? By my next assessment, the Iowa caucuses will be history. Who will be left and who will be gone? I stand by my guns. If the Republican candidate is not Bachmann, Perry, or Santorum, I will sit out the general election. It's time for conservatives to stand up and take charge.

No More Texting/Cellphoning While Driving? GOOD!

Y'all know I'm very libertarian when it comes to gubment laws, rules, and regulations but the numbers don't lie and it's pretty obvious to me that distracted driving causes traffic accidents. The distraction? Texting and talking on the cellphone of course. And I am all for laws which would require the damned things be turned off and the device put in the trunk. Oh the HORROR! How will we ever survive?

Well might I remind you that we got along just fine before the age of cellphones and mobile devices and I am sure we would do just fine once again. If you must make a call or send a text, then PULL OFF THE DAMNED ROAD! GEEZ!

Well the federal gubment agency the NTSB wants to ban your use of electronic devices while driving. Here is where the gubment and I part company. This should be an issue where the STATES pass these laws, not the FEDERAL GUBMENT. The feds have no business whatsoever sticking their noses in this one. Like I said I am very libertarian about most issues of gubment regulation, but this behavior is a direct threat to other drivers in much the same manner as driving drunk. It should be banned.

It is funny but while I was composing this post, there was a woman on Facebook texting and telling the world that she just called 911 to report an old lady driving 80 mph on the highway. Of course it never dawned on her that her texting while driving was equally as dangerous. Perhaps she should have reported herself to the 911 operator......SIGH. Yeah, it was REAL IMPORTANT that everyone on Facebook be alerted to the 80 mph granny.

Divine Intervention in Denver

A miracle from the Almighty occurred in Denver today. Tim Tebow's prayers were evidently heard and answered. Please allow me to reconstruct the miracle for you:

It is the 4th quarter with less than 2 minutes to go. The score is Chicago 10, Denver 7. Denver is out of timeouts.

Chicago had the ball. All they had to do was run out the clock and win the game.

For inexplicable reasons, Chicago running back, Marion Barber, runs out of bounds, stopping the clock. This gave Denver time to try and make a comeback.

Denver drives down the field and on 4th down with just a few seconds left, Denver is ready to try a 58 yard field goal, sending the game into overtime.

Beautiful, sweet Wifey, who cares little for football says, "I hate overtime, but I hope he makes it. I want to see Tim Tebow win."

The kick is GOOD! The game is tied and goes to overtime.

The Broncos win in overtime with another long 51 yard field goal.

And so we have a miracle in Denver. The much maligned Christian QB, Tim Tebow said, "It shows, if you believe, unbelievable things can happen. That was a great comeback for this team, led by the defense and the coaches. And a team that constantly believes."

Interesting play on words, doncha think? It was one of the ugliest games I ever remember watching but I have a feeling it will be one long remembered.

I doubt God cares much about football, but I think He appreciates it when one of His creations gives Him credit.

70 Years Ago

70 years ago today, the quiet, Hawaiian Sunday morning was interrupted by the sounds of aircraft, bomb blasts, gunfire, death, and destruction.

The Japanese had launched their attack against our fleet at Pearl Harbor and America and the world changed forever. Let us not forget the sacrifices of the greatest generation.

Harry Morgan is Dead

Actor, Harry Morgan, died today at age 96. I guess he was best remembered for his role in the M.A.S.H. TV series as colonel Potter. I even remember him from a 60's sitcom called Pete and Gladys as well as the old Dragnet TV shows and tons and tons of old movies.

I always enjoyed the parts he played and he gave me many smiles in my life. Like many of the fine actors I grew up with, I'm going to miss Harry.

Trouble Ahead for Tim Tebow

I've already blogged about about Tim Tebow, the Denver Broncos quarterback who publicly professes his faith in Jesus Christ. They're still criticizing Tebow. The naysayers talk about Tebow's poor mechanics (or lack of them), his poor footwork, his ~~faith in Jesus~~ .... oh wait, that wasn't supposed to slip out!

To the dismay of many, in spite of the criticism, Tebow is a WINNER. The Broncos have won 5 games in a row and are tied for first place in their division. For now, Tebow is safe. Everyone loves a winner. Sooner or later it seems every player and every team hits a slump though and you better believe the long knives will be out for Tebow. Unfortunately when that slump does finally come you can bet it will be many times worse for the former Florida Gator.

The liberal and Godless sports media will be standing in line, ready to tear him to shreds. They will blame his mechanics, footwork, and "lack of ability", but underneath it all they will be saying, "Where is your Jesus now, Tim? Where did he go?" and all the while they will be laughing with glee.

Just watch. It will happen.

2 Different kinds of RINOs

Well, Newt Gingrich is surging big time in the polls. Have you noticed how nervous the left, the media and the Republican establishment have become? Anyone with half a brain can tell that the left and the lame stream media are hoping Romney will be the Republican candidate. Why? Of course it is because the left and the media are mighty sure that Obama can beat Romney. I tend to agree. As soon as the Obama campaign mentions Romneycare and Mitt's many flips and flops, he will be toast. In 2008 the left correctly decided that John McCain would easily lose to Obama. The traitorous Colin Powell told us that McCain would be our best candidate and then turned around and voted for Obama. Yes indeed, the Dems are trying to point us down the same path to failure. And many on "our side" are stupid enough to let it happen.

Of course the establishment Republicans think Mitt is the man because they incorrectly think that his flippy floppy middle of the road approach to politics will appeal to the mass of independent voters. If Romney does capture independents in the general it won't be because of his positions but because they will be voting against Hussein Obama. Too bad for Mitt that he will still lose because he won't have a big chunk of the conservative base voting on him. No, many of us like me will stay home or vote for a 3rd party. So either way you want to cut it, Romney is a loser.

The pundits on Fox News are almost nauseating as they watch Newt gain ground and watch Mitt slide. They tell us that Newt can't win. They tell us that Newt is a loose cannon. The incorrectly tell us that Newt is a conservative that won't appeal to independent voters. They are so nervous that Newt is going to be the guy that they are about to mess in their britches.

The fact of the matter is that I believe Newt can win handily over Obama. He has managed to convince many conservatives (I am not one of them) that he is a conservative. Also he seems more than willing to take Obama to task in the general election. Donald Trump has proven this tactic is successful. If you remember back when we thought he might be a candidate he continuously pummeled Obama on everything from his failed policies to his fake birth certificate. Trump was very popular. The lame stream media and the Republican establishment were going absolutely nuts. On the other hand, if Newt decides to tone down his rhetoric against Obama for fear of being called "unpresidential" or a "racist" then he will follow John McCain into the dustbin of political history.

There is not much time left until the primaries begin. My hope is that Newt will be able to damage Romney beyond repair. At the same time perhaps the lame stream media can destroy Newt and allow one of the few remaining conservatives (Bachmann, Perry, Santorum) to have a fighting chance. In any case I am neutral in the fight between Mitt and Newt. I won't vote for either one of them. I am still a conservative first.

The Problem With The Occupy Wall Street Generation - John Hawkins

If you're tired of watching the lazy, entitled, maggot infested OCCUPY bunch on TV, go read this article by John Hawkins. He begins:

Playing baseball games without keeping score. Parents not allowed to cheer for one side or the other at basketball games. Refusing to use red ink to grade tests because it's too jarring. No dodgeball. Participation trophies. Telling kids, "You're special," without their doing anything to show they're special.

Newsflash: You may be special to God, your mommy, and your teacher just because you were born, but the rest of us aren't impressed.

The world doesn't owe you a living, a promotion, or any special consideration at all. The people who tell you otherwise are doing it because they think you're stupid, easy to manipulate, and they want to use you for their own purposes.

Oh, but what about the lucky ones, you say? The lazy, good-for-nothing punk kids who just happened to be born in the right family and live a life of luxury as a result?

What about them? There's always a little bit of randomness in life. The woman who does everything right and gets hit by a bus before she ever gets her payoff or the guy who does everything wrong and seems to get every break. So what? Is the idea supposed to be that you should have everything you want in life handed to you on a silver platter even though you're lazy and good-for-nothing because the Kennedy family exists?

Wait, wait, I forgot; you're not lazy and good-for-nothing. Your teacher told you that you are special and so did your mommy.

There's more, and it's good:

We're creating a nation full of man-children because every stupidity and immorality you can think of is now being tolerated. Build your house on a flood plain so dangerous you can't even insure it? No problem; somebody will pay for it. Have 15 kids with 3 different men? No problem; somebody will pay for it. Ride your bike down a trail you weren't supposed to when it was icy and fall? No problem; somebody will pay for it. Make a really dumb deal on a house and get underwater on your mortgage? No problem; somebody will help pay for it. We've got a lot of people dedicated to proving that they're "tolerant" and "not mean" who really should be asking whether or not they are being stupid.

Of course, this mentality has shaped outlooks on life, too. If you're a woman and failing, the patriarchy must be keeping you down. If you're black and behind, the white man must be holding you back. If you're an illegal alien, the problem isn't that you broke the law; it must be that racists don't like you. If you have minimal skills and a gaggle of illegitimate kids, the state must not be doing enough to help you. Can't pay your mortgage? The bank must have ripped you off. If you're poor, some rich guy must be taking money that was somehow meant for you. The only good thing about the way losers blame everybody but themselves for their own failures is that it warns the rest of us that they're losers.

Yes indeed, my philosophy is that your position in life is not due to luck, but rather the CHOICES you make in you life, good or bad. If you end up in the toilet, don't go around squalling and blaming someone else. Blame yourself for your stupid life choices. Go HERE to read the whole article.

What is All the Screaming About?

If you suddenly came upon a dead body out in the woods or in an alley, what would you do? I'd probably say, "Day-um! Look at that! Better call the cops!"

Would you let out an intense, guttural scream? Hmmmmmm, probably not. Well, you might if you were a defenseless woman, at least that what all the TV shows would have you believe. Have you ever noticed on these TV dramas like CSI that the discovery of a body is often followed by one of those screams, followed by an advertisement?

I can only think of a few circumstances where a scream might be useful, like when being chased by a grizzly bear? On the other hand it might be better to exert energy running, or climbing a tree rather than screaming.

Perhaps falling off the Empire State building would warrant a scream. On the other hand, in a few seconds you're gonna be dead, scream or not, so I just don't know.

Oh well, I guess it's just television's attempt to create dramatic effect, like when people ride an ambulance to the hospital for a mosquito bite. Yeah, that's gotta be it.

Morbid Strangers Rock Christmas

A great time was had by all Friday night when those oh so festive MORBID STRANGERS rocked the Decatur County General Hospital Christmas Party. There was plenty of good food, lots of smiles, dancing, good music of course, drawings and prizes for the well deserving hospital staff. I can't think of when we all have had a better time. The Thrill is Gone

Well back in the summer I was mighty excited by the field of candidates lining up for the Republican primary. Real conservatives like Cain, Perry, and Bachmann were making themselves known.

Now that the hatchet job has been completed on Herman Cain and the other conservatives have faded into the background it appears that once again we may be left with another watered down, squishy RINO as our candidate. As it was in 2008 when conservative, Fred Thompson dropped out, the thrill is gone. Now it's just more of the same old story and in the general election we'll once again be faced with the situation of voting for the lesser of two evils. Problem is that when you vote for the lesser of two evils, your choice is still EVIL.

Looks more and more likely that I will sit out the 2012 general election. I have a feeling that a lot of others will follow suit. I'm not going to vote for Romney or Gingrich. Congratulations Hussein Obama on your second term and God help the United States.

My hope is that from now to primary time, the left or Mitt Romney will manage to get Gingrich's head into the guillotine and chop it off nice and clean. Maybe, just maybe, Perry, Bachmann, or even Santorum will manage to float back to the top and give us a much needed conservative in the general election. I am not hopeful.

This week hunters across America storm the woods loaded for deer. For yet another indication of how times have changed, consider this account of deer season a half century ago:

My mother’s family lived in Emporium, Pennsylvania, as did dozens of their relatives. Emporium is a tiny town nestled in the mountains near the north/central part of the state. Back in the 1940s, when my mother was born, my grandmother had worked as a Rosie Riveter at the Sylvania plant. Some reading this article will remember owning a huge, heavy Sylvania TV—back when you got only three channels.

Sylvania employed half the town. Farming was another means of employment, which my grandfather and his parents and nine siblings had done down the road in Rich Valley.

Still, neither Sylvania nor farming nor anything else did much to populate tiny emporium.

Once a year, however, the place was flooded with people. That time of year was Deer Season, when out-of-town hunters arrived like an incoming Army, loaded with rifles and bullets. “Army” is a good metaphor, given that a large portion of the hunters were World War II vets. They came from the mills and mines of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. They came to shoot a deer.

During that special week, Emporium’s streets were bustling, the bars were jammed, and churches had more people than usual, including St. Mark’s, where hunters sought out the priest for a blessing before heading into the woods........go HERE to read the rest.

I don't know if he'll last, but I sure won't vote for Romney or Gingrich and these are the ones the media talking heads are trying to convince us are in the game.

Even sweet Wifey is wavering. She told me the "woman" in her was saying Herman might be a dirty rat. Well, that's understandable when you hear it day after day. But you have to understand WHERE all this stuff is coming from. I am hanging with Herman until he is elected, defeated, or says he's done.

When Sanny Claus Becomes Nanny Claus

I always thought it was the responsibility of the head of the household to determine what material things could be afforded by the family and adjust budgets accordingly. I would assume that would apply to Christmas shopping as well. If times are tight then, well, you just don't spend as much. You might have to tell the little kiddies that you just can't afford to pay Santa Claus as much as you did last year. In fact I remember when I was a kid that was the tactic my parents used to explain to me that Christmas presents were not free. My Momma used to tell me that Daddy would have to figure out a way to "pay Santa Claus". So from my very early remembrances I was under the impression that nothing in life, including Christmas, is free. Of course the other alternative is the gubment model of taking your piece of plastic and incurring enormous debt that probably won't be paid off before next year's Christmas.

Well, now I have discovered that personal responsibility for the family debt has been removed from the breadwinner and instead has been assigned to Santa Clause himself. Students of the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School in Midland, Michigan are being taught to "lower children's expectations in the economic downturn"

"They should also take a look at the children's parents and 'size them up' before promising them something that their mother and father can't afford."

This is a very sad commentary on the state of life in these United States here in 2011. In the first place we have all these little entitlement minded kids running around wanting this, that, and the other thing, thinking that money grows on trees. Well it's no wonder when you look at the behavior of the glorious federal gubment. And then you have wimpy parents that don't have the stones to explain to little Johnny that perhaps we can't afford to pay Santa Claus for his platinum covered, diamond studded new game controller this year. No, instead all these tough decisions are going to be left up to good old Santa Claus.

Here's a good one:

"The school has also been advising its pupils on how to deal with such questions as: 'Can you bring my daddy a job?'"

My answer, "Fire Hussein Obama!" Wow! Santa Claus school would be a snap for me.

I guess I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Santa Claus school. In fact I never even considered making a career as a Santa Claus. We had better be careful because some of the mainstream institutions of higher learning may start offering degrees in "Santa Claus". And of course we'll have more whining from the alumni that they can't find a job or pay back their student loans along with those that majored in Basket Weaving and Urban Studies in Upper Volta.

Boys and girls, when Santa Claus is tasked with making our financial decisions, we are in serious trouble. By the way, just in case you forgot, you can celebrate the birth of Jesus for FREE! Won't cost you a thing!

Don't Masturbate on Your Laptop or Cell Phone

The quest by the left never ends as they attempt to vilify our cell phones and now our laptop computers as a health hazard. Of course the ultimate goal is creation of more frivolous lawsuits for shyster lawyers and more regulation and TAXES on our electronic devices by gubment.

The latest nonsense comes from Argentina where they placed semen samples UNDERNEATH A LAPTOP COMPUTER and then got on the internet. Their contention is that electromagnetic radiation from the WIFI transmitter in the computer inactivated the sperm and that sperm located some distance away from the laptop remained viable. Of course the so called conclusion is that placing a laptop on your lap will zap your sperm. They mentioned the same effect from cell phone signals.

Now I don't know how many of you have noticed, but most laptops get pretty warm on the bottom. In fact my old dead Compaq had vents that blew hot air out the bottom. If anything is deactivating the sperm I would guess the HEAT from the computer might be the culprit rather than any radio frequency energy. Besides, if you're trying to impregnate your significant other, are you going to bop your baloney underneath your computer, collect it, and then artificially inseminate her? Besides that, the WIFI signal from a computer is of very low power, just a few milliwatts, and a completely different frequency from a cell phone signal which is by the way much more powerful. After all, the phone has to make it all the way to a cell tower while the computer just has to make it to your wireless enabled modem.

Anyway, I just had a GREAT idea. We could save millions of dollars on vasectomies, tubal ligations, condoms, birth control pills, and unwanted pregnancies. Just stick your cell phone between your legs for about half an hour before you do the dirty deed. Problem solved. I believe I will petition the gubment for a couple of million dollars to study my alternative birth control solution.

Get Your New Poo Tattoo

If you're a regular reader of GROUCH, you'll know that I don't care much for tattoos. No, I basically think it is stupid and a bad life choice to permanently plaster some hideous image on your body. No, I don't give a rat's ass about your need to express yourself.

So this dude who is a tattoo artist apparently got pissed off at his girlfriend who is into bad life choices. She wanted him to tattoo some kind of scene from the Narnia Trilogy on her back. Now my first question is why would anyone in their right mind want that nonsense tattooed on their back? Alas, I digress.......

Well, the tattoo artist was angry cause he found out his girlfriend had been cheating on him. Instead he tattooed a big, steaming pile of poo, complete with swarming flies on her backside.

Of course she was outraged and is suing for damages. Actually I think it is pretty funny and I don't feel a bit sorry for her. This is the risk you run when you make poor life choices. Bwaa Haa Haa.

The leader of the Looney Facebook Liberals gets easily frustrated with me when he can't defend his positions in the face of truth and logic, and true to form begins to launch personal attacks. Today, for the second time in fact, he accused me of getting ALL of my information from Fox News. I asked him how did he know I watched Fox News. He said he could just tell by the comments I made.

This comment is very revealing about liberals. It tells me that THEY get ALL of their information either from the network news or one of those bastions of balanced reporting such as MSNBC. I am sure some of them visit the looney blogs like Daily KOS or the Huffington Post. In any case, they go to these places and immediately latch on to the same ridiculous left wing talking points. It is actually pretty obvious since they all spout pretty much the same thing. Anyone with half a brain that took the time to research the truth would soon realize that most of those liberal talking points are nothing but a load of crap.

I let them know today that I actually watched Fox News very little. During the week I only watch the last 20 minutes of Special Report with Bret Baier (the "panel"). I go there to listen to Charles Krauthammer and they always have one or two liberal commentators as well. Tonight I believe in addition to Krauthammer they had one from the Washington Post (slanted liberal rag) and the New York Times (another slanted liberal rag). Hmmmmm, seems pretty balanced to me.

On Saturday I catch Fox News Watch which has 4 commentators, 2 liberal and 2 "conservative" (I use the term conservative advisedly) as I am usually a lot more conservative than the people on Fox News. On Sunday I watch Chris Wallace's panel.

That is pretty much all I watch on FNC. I can't stand Hannity. Bill O'Reilly is a big windbag that just likes to hear himself talk. I never have cared for Greta. Shepard Smith is a joke that pisses his pants every time there is a car chase. So, no, there is not much on Fox News that catches my interest. I get most of my information from the internet after reading many articles per day from various news sources.

I think what really aggravates the Looney Facebook Liberals is that I don't have to have some place feeding me daily talking talking points and telling me what to think. I think it just blow their minds that I REALLY believe what I believe without any help from the outside.

They often get very perplexed that I will rip Republicans often more viciously than Democrats. One thing that really aggravates the hell out of the liberals is when they hurl a personal attack at me, instead of responding, I'll just click the "like" button on their comment. It drives them nuts that I like their insults. Oh, it is just so much fun pissing off liberals! Yea!

Barney Frank will not run for another term in the US House of Representatives. Good! It will mark the end of one of the most disgraceful politicians in the history of this country. The Facebook liberals squall and wring their hands and try to blame our financial woes on George W. Bush and his "2 wars" and they attack me when I point out that their friend Barney, along with Chris Dodd and Bill Clinton are the culprits that forced the banks to loan money to people who had no hope of paying it back. Finally the crash came. The housing market collapsed. The banks collapsed. The gubment scurried and spent billions of dollars propping up the banks. The economy soon followed, collapsing like a house of cards followed by Obama's failed 800 billion porkulous package.........more debt.......more lost jobs.......further collapse. And our old pal, Barney Frank is right at the center of the whole mess. So long Barney, don't let the door hitcha where the good Lord splitcha!

More Medicare "CUTS". Let's Just Push Old Folks Off a Cliff

Well, here is Medicare's latest attempt to "save" money. The edict has come down from on high that if a Medicare patient is readmitted to the hospital with the same diagnosis within 30 days, the hospital will be paid NOTHING for the admission. It is hard for me to comprehend the logic behind this. I guess the gubment is saying we should have fixed them the first time and if they come back again, they just won't pay.

The problem here is that when dealing with very old and very sick people who have compromised immune systems and very little "reserve" it is entirely possible to come down with the same ailment within a very short period of time. For instance, if a demented, total care nursing home patient is treated and cured of a pneumonia. That same patient may aspirate a week later and once again develop a life threatening pneumonia requiring hospitalization. It is simply nobody's fault. That is just the way it is.

Now I am also told that if a Medicare patient is readmitted within 30 days for ANY reason, cuts will be made to the hospital. I had some trouble finding out the exact amounts of the cuts but I was told it would be a "percentage" of the normal payment. In other words if a Medicare patient is treated for pneumonia and finally discharged and then 2 weeks later, the same patient comes back in and is admitted with a urinary tract infection, the hospital will be penalized by a "percentage" of its normal reimbursement.

Well, I am sorry to say but the ones that will ultimately suffer will be the Medicare patients. These patients requiring readmission will fall under closer and closer scrutiny. Doctors will be pressured more and more NOT to readmit these patients. Sadly, some of these old folks will fall through the cracks and will die because of this. Might as well just push grandma and grandpa off the cliff. It's just another form of death panels that tries to shift the blame to doctors and hospitals.

Other victims will be struggling hospitals, some which will have to close. They just won't be able to provide free care to the masses. Also many doctors will retire or otherwise bail out of Medicare. When all this happens, the burden will once again be shifted back to the seniors. You can have the best insurance in the world and it won't matter if there is no doctor or hospital to take care of you.

I can't think of any other private industry which is required by the federal gubment to provide free services to the masses. It is the worst form of Fascism.

How would you feel if one day you went to your 40 hour a week job and your boss told you that you'd now be required by the gubment to work 10 of those hours for free? Well, this is exactly what we are facing in the heath care industry today.

A Nice Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving weekend was pretty good at the GROUCH mansion. I worked at the chamber of horrors 24 hours Thursday, but I spent most of Friday on the couch, relaxing, watching re-run football. Thank goodness for DVR's. How did we ever get along without technology? Saturday was enjoyable as we went to Hensley mansion in Perry County to enjoy Thanksgiving vittles with the Morbid Strangers. Later on the band played on in to the night as we prepared for our December gigs.

A great time was had by all, especially our drummer, Reece.

Today we were visited by my daughter, Amanda, her significant other, Jason, and my grandson, Nicholas. Once again we had a fine meal of fresh caught, Tennessee River largemouth bass, caught and cleaned by the GROUCH and tastefully prepared by sweet Wifey. To the delight of everyone, the Tennessee Titans actually won their football game against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Well, they made it back to Nashville OK and I am once again at the chamber of horrors working a night shift. All and all it was a very good Thanksgiving weekend. Go HERE to see our family pictures.

More Jesus Hatred, and our Troops Suffer

Well, not only do Tim Tebow and his Christian friends suffer from Jesus hatred but apparently so do our brave troops fighting for us in Afghanistan. A cross was taken down at a base chapel to the chagrin of many brave soldiers.

What is really strange to me is that we don't have a real clear understanding of exactly why the cross was taken down. According to some of the troops, no Muslims had complained and in fact there were two mosques on the base. Also Jews had recently conducted services in the chapel and there were no complaints from them.

Here are some of the responses of the soldiers about the cross incident:

“We are here away from our families, and the chapel is the one place that feels like home,” a service member at Camp Marmal told POLITICO. “With the cross on the outside, it is a constant reminder for all of us that Jesus is here for us.”

“Not having it there is really upsetting,” added another. “I walk by the chapel daily on the way to chow and the gym, and seeing the cross is a daily reminder of my faith and what Jesus accomplished for me. It is daily inspiration and motivation for me to acknowledge my faith and stay on the right path.”

These people are over there risking their lives for our freedom and they deserve to have every comfort and convenience possible in a war zone, but thanks to another episode of Jesus hatred, their cross has been taken down. I'd be willing to bet a couple of busybody atheists and/or liberals complained and well, you know, we wouldn't want to offend a couple of lunatics.

Now how about that, boys and girls?

Why do they Hate Jesus so?

If you're not a football fan you may know nothing of a fellow named Tim Tebow. Tebow is the current quarterback of the Denver Broncos and the former Heisman Trophy winner and QB of the Florida Gators.

Also Tebow is a devout Christian and makes no bones about sharing his faith on and off the field. Now, Jake Plummer, a former QB for the Broncos has gotten his little feeling hurt and has said that he wished Tebow would, "would curb his references to Jesus Christ and his faith".

Tebow responded:

If you're married, and you have a wife, and you really love your wife, is it good enough to only say to your wife 'I love her' the day you get married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and every opportunity?

And that's how I feel about my relationship with Jesus Christ is that it is the most important thing in my life. So any time I get an opportunity to tell him that I love him or given an opportunity to shout him out on national TV, I'm gonna take that opportunity. And so I look at it as a relationship that I have with him that I want to give him the honor and glory anytime I have the opportunity. And then right after I give him the honor and glory, I always try to give my teammates the honor and glory.

And to this, Plummer replied:

Tebow, regardless of whether I wish he'd just shut up after a game and go hug his teammates, I think he's a winner and I respect that about him. I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ, then I think I'll like him a little better. I don't hate him because of that, I just would rather not have to hear that every single time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff.
"Like you know, I understand dude where you're coming from ... but he is a baller.

So what is it with Jake Plummer? What is it about Tebow's profession of faith that makes Plummer apparently so uncomfortable? Seems as if a lot of people get uncomfortable and downright angry if anyone talks about Jesus. What did Jesus ever do other than leave His perfect heavenly home, come to earth to be tempted in ways we cannot imagine, and allow Himself to be tortured and nailed to a cross to atone for Jake Plummer's and my sins? Oh, yeah, He rose from the dead 3 days later too! And yet He is despised from one end of the earth to the other.

What if Tim Tebow was praying to Allah? Would Jake Plummer say anything? Would anyone open their mouth? Well, you already know the answer to that.

Base Line Budgeting, The Dirty Little Secret

I couldn't vote for Ron Paul. I agree with him on a lot of stuff, but he's wrong on national security, he's wrong on Israel, and he fails to understand who the enemies of this country are. There has been a lot of screeching and hand wringing over past couple of days concerning the failure of the super committee. I have heard the politicians moan that defense is going to be cut and our national security is in jeopardy.

Ron Paul got it right last night during the CNN debate. He mentioned the term "baseline budgeting" and advised us that there will be no actual cuts in the defense budget. In fact there will be no actual cuts in ANYTHING. The only thing that will happen is a REDUCTION IN THE RATE OF GROWTH. There will be no cuts in defense, no cuts in medicare, no cuts in social security, NO CUTS! NO CUTS! NO CUTS!

With baseline budgeting the amount of money for the federal gubment goes up every year. It never goes down. When we have a "cut", nothing goes down. The rate of gubment growth simple doesn't go up quite as much as it would have otherwise. Back in August when the debt ceiling was raised, alleged cuts were made. What this amounted to was reducing the growth of the deficit over the next 10 years from about 10 trillion dollars to between 7 and 8 trillion dollars. Doesn't sound like any cuts to me, does it to you? To paraphrase Senator Jim DeMint, it's like driving over a cliff at 60 mph rather than at 80 mph.

Why do we seldom hear of baseline budgeting? Well, it's the dirty little secret of Warshington. Nobody in Warshington save for perhaps a few Tea Party legislators want to really cut spending. If the idea of baseline budgeting were actually revealed and understood by the average American voter, there would be absolute outrage against the Warshington establishment over the sham of spending cuts. If we really want spending cuts, lets take the budget back to 2006 levels and live within our means. Seems like we were doing OK in 2006.

So next time you hear one of your liberal friends or establishment Republican friends moaning about their entitlements being cut or the defense budget being cut, ask them how much less the defense or the entitlement budget is going to be from 2012 to 2013 and then ask them to explain to you the concept of baseline budgeting. Watch the glazed look come over their faces.

Bring Back Smoking Sections

Tennessee has a state law prohibiting smoking in any restaurant serving people under 21 years of age (like it is any of the state's bidness). I say GREAT! Lets bring back smoking sections to all restaurants in Tennessee! Yes indeed, there is a place in Jackson called Redbones Grill and Bar. Smoking is allowed in the restaurant. The added benefit to this is that there are NO SCREAMING SNOTTY NOSED LITTLE KIDS! Nobody under 21! What a fabulous idea! You can go in there, get a great meal at a reasonable price, have a smoke if you're so inclined, and not be bothered by a bunch of screeching and screaming, and a family of dweebs sitting there saying, "Oh, isn't she just PRECIOUS?"

No, it's not PRECIOUS!

I hope that every restaurant in the state will follow Redbones lead and re-institute smoking! Well, OK, maybe not McDonalds and Burger King and Chuck E Cheese. I'm not going to be in those places anyway.

Michelle Obama Booed! Oh the Horror!

The looney Facebook liberals were all upset yesterday because their favorite FLOTUS, Michelle Obama was booed at a NASCAR race in Florida. They were just outraged over how disrespectful the whole thing was. It doesn't take much to outrage a liberal, you know.

My friend, Rush Limbaugh, had a very good monologue about the whole thing yesterday. When you read Rush's analysis it is not surprising she was booed.

I've thought about this. Why would people boo the first lady? The media can't believe it. But I can. People don't like be told they're lousy parents, and Mrs. Obama has done that. People resent Mrs. Obama's bizarre need to tell us what to eat and how much to exercise. She also has, let's not forget her husband, Mrs. Obama has a husband that runs around and apologizes for this country that he was elected to lead. Australia the latest example. He went over there and basically apologized for the worthlessness of American students. I'm also pretty sure this crowd is not eager to go out and buy a car that you have to plug in in order to drive. This is a fast car kind of crowd. This is not a Prius, Volt, Leaf, plug it in and charge it for the 40-miles crowd.

Also I might point out people that go to NASCAR races are the very people her husband called bitter clingers. When things aren't going well, what do they do? Why, they cling to their guns, and they cling to their religion. Oh, and there was that trillion dollars for Obama's union and green energy contributors, all of this money that Obama has given to people like Solyndra and all these screwy expenditures, not to mention the fact that her husband has bankrupted the US economy. Oh, and what about Obamacare? You think the people at the NASCAR race might be among the crowd, among the 65 to 70% of the country that wants no part of her husband's health care bill that Moochelle campaigned for? What is so hard to understand about this woman being booed? Only in media capitals could you scratch your head over the fact that the first lady gets booed. Are they still of the belief that the Obamas have 90% approval, that they're loved and adored by everybody, that they're still considered Mr. and Mrs. Messiah?

I'm not a NASCAR fan. I find the whole idea of driving round and round a track about as boring as baseball, basketball, or golf. But I gotta say that if Michelle had attended one of my events, I would have booed her as well. This woman and her communist husband do not deserve my respect.

I'll Have a Steak, Medium Rare, Hold the Screeching and Screaming

Last night, sweet Wifey and I went out for dinner and a movie. We visited Cheddar's, a nice place with good food and good prices. The downside about "good" prices is that they tend to attract the undesirable elements such as snotty, screaming kids.

We were early and for a change, they were not busy. The hostess escorted us past many quiet, empty booths and tables all the way to the back. She proceeded to seat us next to a family and a small, snotty nosed child in a high chair. The kid was already making vile, high pitched noises.

I told the hostess that we would not sit next to this screaming kid and that she needed to place us somewhere else. I said it loud enough that the inconsiderate family with the kid could hear. The hostess gave me the most dirty of looks and I was prepared to tell her we would just go somewhere else.

Instead, she turned and took us back up to one of the empty quiet booths we had previously passed along the way. I told her that this was "much better".

You know, it's MY MONEY. If I'm going to go into a place for a nice meal, I'm not going to pay to be tortured by the screaming of some little brat. Oh, I know, the parents think the little sh*t is JUST PRECIOUS, but I think the little sh*t is ANNOYING AS HELL and the sound is certainly not conducive to good digestion.

It wasn't long before the little brat launched into the FULL SCREECH MODE. In spite of this I noticed the same hostess seat two or three more people in the vicinity of the screecher. I don't get it.

They have outlawed smoking in restaurants I am sure because of the HOAX of the ill health effects of second hand smoke. I want to know why they can't have gubment mandated ADULT ONLY sections in restaurants? Second hand screeching must be a health hazard. There ought to be a law. Perhaps I could apply for a couple million dollars of federal grant money to study the health effects of such vile noises.

I have no understanding or compassion for people that subject me to the guttural screeching of their offspring, There are cures for this problem. It's called BABYSITTERS and TAKEOUT. You know the old saying, "Children should been seen and not heard." Well I happen to think that children should be NOT seen and NOT heard. Just leave them at home. A whole bunch of people in this world do not appreciate your little bundle of joy.

By the time we finished eating, the place had started to fill up and our quiet area had been infiltrated with other little yard apes. Fortunately, we were done before the screeching started.

From Cheddar's we went to see J. Edgar, a very good movie by our old friend, Clint Eastwood. I recommend it highly.

Obama says NO to 200,000 Jobs in Ohio

President Obama's United States Department of Agriculture has delayed shale gas drilling in Ohio for up to six months by cancelling a mineral lease auction for Wayne National Forest (WNF). The move was taken in deference to environmentalists, on the pretext of studying the effects of hydraulic fracturing......go HERE to read all about it.

The looney Facebook liberals whine and complain constantly how those evil Republicans care nothing about helping poor working people in America. I pointed out the above article to them and let them know that their boy, Obama blocked 200,000 jobs in Ohio.

Instead of chiming in and bashing Obama for this decision a long period of silence ensued. After a while one of them popped up and told me that I "hated the environment".

It is no wonder that we are in the shape we are in. With liberals in charge, it should be no surprise.

The "Humane" Death Penalty

Well, now here's an interesting slant on the death penalty. A liberal friend of mine is FOR the death penalty. In the same sentence he also says that as a liberal he is most assuredly against cruel and unusual punishment.

His feeling is that sitting locked away in prison for 25 or 30 years is much more cruel than execution by lethal injection. He is willing to allow a period of three years for appeals and then it's needle time.

I must say that I have never thought of the death penalty in this way but when you think about it, it kind of makes sense.

Now, I'm a little different. I'm not much of an anti cruel and unusual punishment sort of guy. I am more of a punishment should fit the crime type person. In fact I could support doing away with the death penalty entirely if the alternative was life in prison under the most horrible of circumstances........working 18 hours a day, in 100 degree heat, making little rocks out of big rocks with a sledge hammer. Now that's REAL punishment!

Since such a prison here in the US will never see the light of day, I am much more accepting of more traditional types of capital punishment such as hanging, the guillotine, and the electric chair. I would be in favor of public executions. Let everyone see what will happen if you murder or rape someone. Hell, put it on TV. Charge admission! Use the proceeds to compensate families of victims.

The Cub Scouts

We’ll begin in park somewhere near Washington DC. The heavily wooded park is owned by the federal government. Smelling trouble already, aren’t you? So it seems that yesterday some Scout leader took his little band of six-year-old Cub Scouts to the park to collect some leaves. The leaves, you see, are changing right now, and some of the colors are beautiful. The Cub Scouts were going to collect leaves and preserve them for a scrapbook. As the Scouts are walking along a trail, there being tailed by a federal employee park security guard. She follows as the Scouts pick up some of the prettier leaves and put them in their little plastic bags. The security guard is a security and law enforcement professional. Surely you know that, because, as Tom Dashle told us, “You don’t professionalize until you federalize.” Finally our stalwart professional drives up to the Cub Scouts, gets out of her car, and orders the Cub Scouts to open their baggies and dump those leaves right back there on the road. “You can’t take them,” she said. “This is federal property.” Now these are Cub Scouts, not occupy protesters, so they do what they are told to do by this symbol of government authority. As the Cub Scouts (some of them crying) left, the man who told me this story (you would know him, but I’m not going to name him) walked up the professional security guard and said “Hey; is this really worth it?” She responded in what he describes as a harsh voice – very close to yelling – “This is federal property and those leaves are federal property and those are the rules.”

Really, folks. Those are the rules? What can you say? These kids were six-years-old. How do you think they are going to feel on their next encounter with someone in a state or national park – whether it be a security guard or a Park Ranger? Is this really representative of the quality of employees we are forking over taxpayer dollars to?

So legendary football coach, pedophile, pervert, Jerry Sandusky has been arraigned on sex charges. Well Sandusky has proclaimed that he did nothing wrong. Good grief, did you see his interview with Bob Costas? I thought Costas was going to swallow his tongue.

So everyone is thoroughly outraged and wringing their hands in disgust, but wait, Sandusky has still got to be tried and convicted of his alleged crimes.

What if he is found NOT GUILTY? Well, now, it's not so far fetched. If O.J. and Casey Anthony can get off, anything's possible. I'm not making any predictions, but just brace yourselves for the worst. All you need is a bunch of slick talking shysters and 12 inept dweebs and away you go to freedom to abuse another child another day!

9 Percent Sounds like a Good Deal for Uncle Sam

So General Electric made profits of 14 billion dollars, filled out a tax return of 57,000 pages and paid ZERO taxes? GREAT! Well, now we can't really complain can we? After all they only followed the tax law.

Now if my friend Herman Cain had his way, GE would have filled out a single page tax return and paid 9 percent of 14 billion dollars. Lesse, that comes to about 1.26 billion in taxes. But on the bright side, GE could fire all the overpriced tax lawyers and accountants they paid to create the 57,000 page tax return.

Sounds like a win/win situation to me. Go Herman Cain!

What is Wrong with Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh?

I never have been a big Ann Coulter fan. She's loud, shrill, and obnoxious. Not my cup of tea. However, I generally agree with her politically, at least until yesterday. (I just don't like loud, shrill women. I prefer beautiful, gentle, soft spoken women like my sweet Wifey.)

Coulter was all over Fox News yesterday saying how she thought ROMNEY (barf gag) would be the best candidate to go up against Obama. What? Good grief, I could not disagree more. In fact I think Obama would destroy Romney in the general election. Romney has flip flopped and waffled and wavered so many times that it is difficult to determine where he stands on anything. I know he might say some good sounding stuff in the debates, but he's usually contradicting something he said a few months ago. The Obama campaign will latch on to all of this stuff and tear him to shreds. One thing is for sure. Obama is NOT a flip-flopper. You know EXACTLY where he is coming from. He told us that in 2008 and the lamestream media and the establishment Republicans said he would govern from the center. Welcome Obamacare and trillions of dollars of new debt. Lord have mercy, can you imagine Romney standing there in front of Obama talking about repealing Obamacare? It's Romney's plan!

I am kinda thinking that Coulter believes that Romney is going to be the nominee and she is trying to pave a way for herself to support him. I can't believe she thinks he's really the best choice.

Even the liar, crook, two faced Newt Gingrich would be better than Romney. In fact I think Newt would probably mop the floor with Obama in a debate, but what would we really have with a president Newt Gingrich? How can we possibly know?

For many years I have heard my good friend, Rush Limbaugh tell us that winners do not compromise and that we need to stick to our conservative principles. Then in the next sentence he will turn around and tell us that we need to support the Republican nominee against Obama, whoever that turns out to be. I can tell that Rush really does not like Romney. He seems to prefer Gingrich (not a conservative) and Herman Cain. In fact he was hopelessly trying to defend poor Herman's brain freeze on Libya. True to form, Rush will not endorse any primary candidate. I figure he thinks it would make him look bad if that primary candidate did not win.

Sorry Ann, sorry Rush. If the nominee is Romney, I'll sit it out. I won't vote for a RINO. I won't vote for Gingrich. Rush, I am holding true to my conservative principles. Frankly, I don't think Romney would be any better than Obama. He has not given me any hope that he is interested in reducing the size of gubment. He has not given me any hope of meaningful tax reform. We know he believes that man made global warming is real and somewhere down the line will be willing to spend money to fix the hoax. We know he doesn't have problems with individual mandates upon private citizens by the gubment. Where are the differences between Romney and Obama? I have the same misgivings about Newt.

I'm still supporting Herman Cain. I knew from the beginning that Herman was not a politician. I knew his weakness was foreign policy. Herman looked tired and depressed during his brain freeze on Libya. I think the constant pummeling has taken its toll. However, I still believe he is a TRUE conservative and I believe he is smart enough to correct any deficiencies he has in the area of foreign policy. I don't know if he will survive. He's struggling right now. The left and the lame stream media have done a pretty good job of trying to bring him down.

Now the attacks will begin on Gingrich as he soars into the top tier. Of course anyone with half a brain should be able to see what is going on. The left along with the media is once again trying to pick our candidate, the LOSER Romney. Mark my words!

It will only go 45 mph so I'd have to slow down a bit and stick to the back roads. On the plus side, it has a toilet for a seat! Only problem is that I'd have to install a magazine rack and a place for my laptop! Sweet Wifey would agree that with me riding it, there would be an endless supply of fuel!

433 Million for Obama Donor

Our illegitimate president, Hussein Obama is up to his old tricks once again. This time he has awarded a 433 million, no-bid contract to an outfit called Siga Technologies Inc. which is run by Ronald O. Perelman, one of the richest men in the world and an Obama donor.

The contract is for a smallpox drug. The problem is that there is apparently NO NEED FOR THE DRUG since there is already a smallpox vaccine. There is also speculation that the drug will even work. Go HERE to read all about it.

The Jesus Card

Well, here is another report on the LOONEY FACEBOOK LIBERALS. Trust me folks, it is just the gift that keeps on giving and giving and giving.

Well now 2 of these liberals, both women, have accused me of not being a "good Christian". Funny how there are people out there that really don't even know you who think it is their place to lecture you about your morality and your salvation.

I gathered that they developed this opinion when I defended the Republican congress for refusing to go along with lord Obama's "jobs" bill. They decided that I was against the working people of America. I was against "helping the poor". Jesus would want me to help the poor they said. I was more interested in money than helping my fellow man........all of this nonsense simply because I opposed Obama's jobs bill.

Over and over again I explained that we did not have the money for another jobs bill. WE ARE BROKE! Obama's first jobs bill did not work, did not create jobs, and wasted billions of dollars. Indeed, Obama's jobs bill was never intended to pass. It was strictly a political stunt, something with which Obama could bash the Republicans as being heartless and not caring about the American people. Hey it worked! The looney Facebook liberals have swallowed the scam hook, line, and sinker. But, no, none of that made a bit of sense to them. What followed were angry, hate filled, personal attacks.

But they had played the Jesus card and I could not let it go. First I explained that my relationship with Jesus was just fine and only He really knew what was in a person's heart. Then I proceeded to tell the first liberal babe that she was lecturing me on morality and yet she supported a party that sanctioned the murder of millions of unborn innocent children.

She went into an absolute rage and let me know right then and there that she was PRO LIFE! OK, so she's pro life, and yet she supports the Democrat party and its platforms and principles. It doesn't make sense to me. Does it to the rest of you?

The second liberal babe then tried lecturing me about Jesus. (I don't know if either of them are babes. They may look worse than the Sea Hag's cousin). I told the gal that she had no problem lecturing me about the Lord but better not mention His name in a public school or event! OH NO!

From there, the conversation spiraled into more name calling and more personal attacks. I was told that school prayer was UNCONSTITUTIONAL! When did a liberal ever worry about the Constitution before? I was told that there might be Jews or Muslims there that did not want to hear the Christian prayer. Fine! Let them leave the room! What if a Muslim wanted to lead a prayer? Fine! I could leave the room! Of course common sense would dictate that prayer in a school was not an attempt by the government to ESTABLISH a religion. On the contrary, the prohibition of prayer is a violation of free speech. My goodness don't they have things backward?

There was a further decline until finally one of the hags took issue with Don (not his real name) for ever friending me in the first place and that I should be banned. Another said she just could not stand to look at her page when I was on there. One thing is for sure. They go absolutely bananas if you turn race or religion back upon them.

Liberals, they are just beyond comprehension. They call me stupid. I call them gullible, deceived, brainwashed, and completely humorless. Let's look at it on the bright side though folks. Several liberals are absolutely outraged tonight just because of your good friend, the Grouch at Right Truth! Oh what fun!

So if you wanna play the race card or the Jesus card, fine! Just realize if you play it on the Grouch you may be in for quite a ride!

I don't know about the rest of you but it has happened to me. I have completely lost my train of thought when having a conversation. I don't ever remember it happening to me while speaking in public but that would have to be embarrassing.

Well I did not see the Republican debate last night but I watched the Youtube video. Our friend, Rick Perry was talking about abolishing 3 gubment agencies (great idea the more the better) and the third on his list inexplicably slipped away. He just drew a blank....oops!

I suppose his detractors will try to make some hay out of it but hey, he's human and no doubt under tremendous stress. All the other candidates have made flubs of one kind or another. It happens. So I'm still OK with Rick and I can support him if he eventually finds himself in the drivers seat.

Calm down, Rick. Get a glass of water! Take deep breaths!
